Client   : Major 2 wheeler manufacturer in INDIA.

Details : Customer had given 3d model of existing lever. The existing lever has be redesigned to reduce the manufacturing cost.

The design, working conditions were studied carefully and new design was introduced. The lever was initially with 19 mm diameter and 2 bends. New was introduced with 14 mm diameter and only 1 bend. End portion geometry was altered to reduce stress concentration.

Milestone was successful to reduce material cost and bending operation. This gives company overall 20% cost reduction.
